These Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs are a crowd-pleasing appetizer featuring juicy seasoned ground beef and melted cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky biscuit dough, baked to golden perfection, and topped with a flavorful garlic butter and Parmesan crust.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Bombs:

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup (120 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 can (8-count) refrigerated biscuit dough

For the Garlic Butter Topping:

  • 1/4 cup (57 g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it to prevent sticking.
  2. Cook beef: Heat a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef. Season with salt, black pepper, onion powder, garlic powder, and Worcestershire sauce. Stir occasionally and cook until the beef is browned and cooked through.
  3. Add cheese: Remove the skillet from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese, allowing it to melt into the beef mixture. Let this mixture cool slightly so it’s easier to handle and won’t make the dough soggy.
  4. Prepare dough: Open the can of refrigerated biscuit dough and flatten each biscuit into a round disc large enough to hold the filling.
  5. Assemble: Spoon about one tablespoon of the beef and cheese mixture into the center of each dough disc. Fold the dough around the filling and pinch the edges to seal, forming a ball.
  6. Arrange: Place each sealed bomb seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet, spacing them evenly.
  7. Make topping: In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, and chopped parsley.
  8. Brush bombs: Generously brush the garlic butter mixture over the top of each assembled bomb for flavor and browning.
  9. Top with Parmesan: Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the coated bombs to add a savory crust.
  10. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 15–18 minutes or until the bombs turn golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
  11. Serve: Serve the Garlic Parmesan Cheeseburger Bombs warm alongside your favorite dipping sauces for a delicious appetizer.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground turkey or plant-based meat alternatives for beef if desired.
  • Try using different cheeses like mozzarella, pepper jack, or blue cheese instead of cheddar for a unique flavor.
  • If biscuit dough is unavailable, crescent roll dough works well as a substitute.
  • Allow the filling to cool before assembling to prevent soggy dough and make it easier to handle.
  • These bombs can be frozen either cooked or unbaked for up to 2 months; reheat in the oven for best results.
