Instructions

  1. Bake the Brownies: Preheat your oven and prepare a 9×13-inch baking dish. Mix and bake the fudge brownie mix following the package instructions, adding the specified eggs, water, and oil. Bake until set, aiming for chewy, fudge-like brownies. Remove and allow to cool completely at room temperature.
  2. Melt Chocolate and Butter: Place the chopped semi-sweet chocolate and unsalted butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in the microwave at 50% power for 1 minute. Stir, then continue melting in 30-second intervals at 50% power, stirring between each, until fully melted and smooth. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Prepare French Silk Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, beat the room-temperature cream cheese with a handheld mixer on medium speed for 1-2 minutes until light and fluffy. Gradually add powdered sugar one cup at a time, mixing on low until fully incorporated and smooth.
