Chocolate Base
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips (or dark chocolate chips; for vegan option use non-dairy chocolate chips or chopped chocolate bar)
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, use canola or vegetable oil if needed to thin chocolate)
Other Ingredients
- 2 cups miniature marshmallows (for vegan option use vegan mini marshmallows)
- 4–8 graham crackers
Toppings (Optional)
- Graham cracker crumbs
- Sea salt
- Sprinkles
- Prepare Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and to make cleanup easier.
- Cut Graham Crackers: If making a graham cracker base, break graham crackers along their scored lines into squares. Each cracker yields 8 squares when broken properly. Set aside the squares and save some crumbs for mixing into the clusters.
- Melt Chocolate: Place the chocolate and optional oil in a microwave-safe dish. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring gently after each interval, until fully melted and smooth. If the chocolate is too thick, add a bit more oil to thin it out.
- Mix Ingredients: Add miniature marshmallows and graham cracker crumbs to the melted chocolate mixture. Stir until all pieces are evenly coated with chocolate.
- Form Clusters: Use a small or medium cookie scoop or a large spoon to portion the mixture onto the parchment-lined baking sheet. If using graham cracker squares as bases, place scoops on top of each square, leaving space between clusters.
- Chill: Refrigerate the clusters for about one hour or until they are firm and set.
- Serve: Remove from fridge and enjoy these sweet, crunchy clusters as a delicious treat or party snack.
Notes
- You can easily make these vegan by opting for non-dairy chocolate chips and vegan marshmallows.
- Adding a tablespoon of coconut oil helps create a smoother, shinier chocolate coating but is optional.
- Customize your clusters by sprinkling sea salt or festive sprinkles on top before chilling.
- If you prefer, skip the graham cracker squares as a base and just use crumbs mixed in the clusters.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep them firm and fresh.
