Ingredients

Scale

Sliders

  • 12 Kings Hawaiian rolls
  • 1 pound chicken tenders, cooked
  • ½ cup marinara sauce
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • 8 ounces fresh mozzarella cheese, sliced
  • ¼ cup fresh basil, chopped

Butter Topping

  • ¼ cup (57g) butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 3 teaspoons garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F to prepare for baking the sliders to perfection.
  2. Prepare Rolls: Split the Kings Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally. Arrange the bottom halves evenly in a prepared baking dish and set the top halves aside carefully.
  3. Assemble Sliders: Layer the bottom buns with 6 slices of provolone cheese, followed by the cooked chicken tenders, then spoon over the marinara sauce. Add the sliced fresh mozzarella on top and sprinkle with chopped fresh basil for fresh flavor.
  4. Top Buns: Place the top halves of the rolls over the assembled sliders to cover the filling.
  5. Mix Butter Topping: In a small bowl, combine melted butter, sea salt, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and grated parmesan cheese. Mix well to create a flavorful topping.
  6. Brush Topping: Generously brush the melted butter mixture over the tops of the assembled rolls ensuring even coverage for a golden crust.
  7. Bake Covered: Cover the baking dish with foil and bake at 350°F for 20 minutes, allowing the cheese to melt and become bubbly.
  8. Bake Uncovered: Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 5 minutes or until the tops are golden brown and crisp.
  9. Serve: Carefully remove the sliders from the oven, slice individually if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

  • You can use frozen breaded chicken tenders to make this a quick and easy meal.
  • For a make-ahead option, assemble sliders and refrigerate before baking.
  • Serve with sides like a fresh salad, garlic bread, or roasted vegetables for a complete meal.
  • Ensure you cover the sliders during most of the baking time to keep them moist and avoid drying out.
