  • 1 ¼ cup powdered sugar, sifted

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Add the cereal to an extra large bowl.
  2. Step 2: In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave on high for 1 minute, then stir well until the mixture is completely melted and smooth.

  8. Step 8: Just before serving, sprinkle the 3 chopped fun size Butterfinger bars on top for garnish and extra crunch.

Tips & Variations

  • You can substitute milk or dark chocolate chips, or even candy melts, for the semi-sweet chocolate chips to vary the flavor.
  • Mix different types of Chex cereals like rice, corn, and wheat for varied texture.
  • Try adding mini peanut butter cups, Reese’s Pieces, or Butterfinger balls for an extra special treat.

Storage

Store Butterfinger Puppy Chow in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. It stays crisp and fresh this way. If you want to keep it longer, you can refrigerate it but allow it to come to room temperature before serving to regain some crunch. Reheating is not necessary.
